Step 1 – Register On The WPC Online Portal

Go to Saral Sanchar Portal and register for an online application. First, you must specify the commodities you wish to import by submitting an online application to the DOT Portal. After submitting the online application, the System will generate an import ID.

Step 2 – Click On Apply New ETA

When you apply for the new ETA, you must attach the self-declaration of every commodity you are exporting. To check whether your products are exempted from the WPC ETA Approval, use your import ID. You can enter your ID and captcha to check the equipment that utilizes different Radio Frequency (RF).

Step 3 – Check EN Standards and RF-Test Report

When you apply for the WPC ETA certificate, the process starts by checking the EN standards and radio frequency range through RF testing of the product. If the frequency matches the Indian standards per the WPC license approval, then the WPC wing will grant the license. Any factory inspection is not required to grant a WPC license.

Step 4 – WPC License Application

Once you pass all the requirements, you will obtain an application for WPC approval for the product you are importing.

Step 5 – Submit The Required Documents

Step 7 – Grant Of WPC License
